LAS VEGAS — Organizers announced the upcoming Ethical F&I Managers Conference will feature “So You Think You Can F&I,” a game show in which all F&I managers in attendance can vie for $10,000 in prizes, including $5,000 for the first-place winner. EFI Con 2025 will be held March 2-4 at Caesars Palace Las Vegas.
The game will start Monday, March 3, with an online multiple-choice quiz open to all attendees. The top five scorers will be invited to compete in Tuesday’s final round, live on the EFI stage, where each will be presented with the same, preplanned, real-life F&I scenario. Each finalist will take the stage with their competitors sequestered out of earshot.
“The F&I scenario may consist of a presentation, an objection, a disruptive customer or any other daily occurrence that happens in the F&I office. Once all the finalists have done their role-play, the audience will vote for a winner,” said Tony Dupaquier, vice president of training for iA American Warranty Group and EFI’s conference director.
Dupaquier, known to EFI regulars as “Tony D.,” will host the final round. He noted the Association of F&I Professionals (AFIP) and its executive director, Shannon Robertson, helped develop many of the questions that will appear in the game.
“One of the highlights of EFI is ‘So You Think You Can Do F&I,’ because it gives the F&I manager a chance to showcase their skills on three levels: their knowledge of the rules and regulations, their ability to overcome objections and their confidence to do it unscripted in front of the audience,” Robertson said.
