Attendees are invited to join a keynote address given by a 37-year military veteran on creating and maintaining resilient leadership qualities.
NEW ORLEANS – Industry Summit 2019 will feature a keynote address given by Lt. Gen. Russel L. Honoré (ret.), organizers announced. The leadership and global safety and preparedness expert served New Orleans as commander of Joint Task Force Katrina during and following Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
Industry Summit will be held Nov. 4–6, 2019 at the New Orleans Marriott. Honoré’s keynote will begin at 9:10 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 6.
“With the global experiences the lieutenant general has under his belt, there is no one better to speak on the topic of maintaining resiliency in the face of obstacles,” said David Gesualdo, show chair and publisher of Bobit Business Media’s Dealer Group.
In his presentation, “Resilient Leadership: Prepare Today — Prevail Tomorrow,” Gen. Honoré connects his 37 years of decorated military leadership — including his crucial role in managing New Orleans’ relief efforts post-Katrina. Honoré plans to focus on the natural disasters and man-made tragedies dominating global headlines to reveal critical strategies. In the process, he said, his presentation will transform individuals and help organizations prepare, react, and rebound effectively, so they can move forward with success.

Lt. Gen. Honoré believes that strong leadership, guided by clarity of purpose and practical tactics, are the keys to overcoming adversities by being better prepared and more resilient. “From global and domestic terrorist threats to natural disasters, we face new risks to our individual, community, and economic security each day,” he added.
